Bioheating Oil

Biodiesel is a diesel fuel and heating oil replacement made from vegetable oils.  Biodiesel burns cleaner and reduces our dependence on foreign oil.

In the 2008 - 2009 heating season, Co-op members have purchased 19,000 gallons of bioheating oil.  That means that this past winter alone, Co-op members helped prevent 60,000 lbs of pollutants from being dumped into the atmosphere!

If you're a consumer looking for bioheating oil for your furnace or boiler, you can now purchase a bioheating oil blend through our partnership with three local suppliers, Hanly Oil, Rhoads Energy and H.C. Rineer & Sons.
