Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Nadia Adawi, of Philadelphia, has been selected to be included in Who’s Who in America, published by Marquis Who’s Who®, the leading biographical reference publisher of the highest achievers and contributors from across the country and around the world. Adawi will be profiled in the 2002 edition of Who’s Who in America®, which will be available in October. Nadia Adawi serves as the Director of Operations for The Energy Cooperative, based in Philadelphia. Prior to joining the Cooperative, Adawi was a management consultant with Arthur Andersen’s Ethics and Responsible Business Practices consulting group in New York. She was first recognized in Who’s Who in American Women® and Who’s Who in Emerging Leaders® as a pioneer in the developing wireless telecommunications industry. Adawi holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri. The Energy Cooperative is a non-profit member-owned cooperative based in center city Philadelphia. The Cooperative provides electricity, home heating oil, energy efficiency services and solar energy systems to over 6500 residential, commercial, and governmental members throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. The Co-op’s mission is: to provide energy cost savings and education and advocacy on behalf of its members, particularly its low-income, elderly and disabled members, to promote the efficient use of energy and the use of renewable energy, and to support cooperative concepts and participate in the cooperative movement.
